Seven_Million_Years_Ago – Written by Richard G Perritt Sr. Seven million years ago he found a warm dry cave There he raised his family and there they made his grave Placed his skeleton in the floor his skull upon a shelf They could ask him for advice as if he were there him self Some generations passed they found that fire would dry the rain And though the fire did go out they would find it again One day one heard voices calling from that dark ancient skull He dipped his hand in bison blood and he pressed it on the wall Many million years have passed since that man found the cave And the children of this man have proved both strong and brave Bow and arrow, and the spear have tamed the wild beasts Grain and fruit that he has grown have provided him his feasts.
